Setting priorities

Even if the main stakeholders are similar in most tender processes, the overall targets are not.
To define the individual targets of your tender, the Balanced Request Model gives you the possibility to individually weight the influencing factors. By setting these priorities the standard model ist adapted to your organizations needs.

Step by step and supported by detailed descriptions of the individual influence factors you will gain a refined and completed big picture of the tender, that can continously be used to realign the process to your needs.

To visualize the higher or lower prioritized influencing factors they are scaled in the Balanced Request chart. The higher prioritized influence factors result in more detailed descriptions in the rfp documents.

Example
You are required to reduce your spendings by 20%. You have already outsourced duties to a service provider that are not supposed to significantly change. However, the outsourced tasks have changed a little over the years and need to be redefined. The legal framework is already defined but it has not been part of the last contract an has to be included in the new one. No strategic changes are to be considered for the planned contract duration.

The finance factor gets a higher priority as your main goal is to save money. While the factors content and legal remain unchanged, the factor strategy gets a lower priority.

This already shows pretty well within one chart, what your tender is aimed at. This of course has to be accompanied by a detailed description.
